A visit to the Easter Bunny!

We took Donnie to the mall today to get his picture taken with the Easter Bunny. With this being our first baby we (well maybe more myself) was looking forward to this! I remember watching parents in line with their children to take pictures with the bunny or santa thinking to myself one day I'll be doing the same thing! The line was long considering it was 1:00  o'clock in the afternoon so hubs and I talked to make it go by faster as Donnie slept (he was getting his energy up for the bunny). Once we got our turn, I was steady brushing the little hair he had, adjusting his clothes and making sure he was perfect as possible. Literally three snaps later and we were finished! Apparently there is a max to the number of shots taken, which is understandable otherwise you'd have mothers like me taking all day wanting the perfect picture. So we waited about five minutes and received our pictures and cd for any other additional prints. Overall the experience was great, I do wish I would have realize at some point during one of those three snaps that his pants was hiked up but oh well!

Happy Valentine's Day!!!

This is Donnies first valentines day! Of course I had to dress him accordingly. As for me hubs has to work tonight (bummer) but we are going to celebrate this weekend. We did exchange gifts. I got a dozen red roses, a gift card to Macys and a lovely card with more cash in it! I'm going to keep it short today (as usual) but just wanted to stop by and say HAPPY VALENTINE'S DAY to my readers!!!

Will You Be My Valentine?!!!

Happy 2011!!

Happy New Year to my lovely readers! I hope your new year is going great so far! So I'm trying to figure out how to juggle keeping up my blog and tending to a baby. I want to at least post 3x's a week so we will see how this goes! As for what's been going on in our household, all is well. Donnie is eating great except when he gets frustrated. I'm trying to figure out why that is, the milk is coming out but I notice it happens when my nipple gets soft. He's a very impatient baby (aren't they all) and he loves trying to "help" mama out. He seriously likes to hold my breast like a bottle and I have to remind him that I don't need any help and he's actually in the way lol!

I'm  able to write this post due to my lovely hands free pumping bra. I just fed Donnie, he's knocked out and now I'm trying to pump to store extra milk so the hubs can feed the baby as well. On another note, let me tell you about how I brought in the new year. My family had a new year's party and it was so great to get to see them all (I hadn't seen many of them since the 4th of July). Everyone was asking "where is the baby", "how is he sleeping". I only had two people ask how I was doing..which I guess I should get used to ha! It was great to get out the house with the hubs (my mother was at our house watching Donnie by the way), get dressed up and I even had a glass of wine! Yes my first drink since last April. I was seriously buzzed by the second sip. It was nice to have a taste but I honestly don't miss drinking and don't worry I had pump some milk for Donnie before hand, enough to last until the alcohol was out of my system.

Well that's about it..don't you love my all over the place posts?! Sorry, I swear it seems that after my third trimester my train of thought isn't as good. Is that normal? Hopefully it returns and I'm able to write some better posts :)

Christmas Weekend

Happy Monday! Is it just me or does it seem as though xmas went by really fast? This holiday was like no other because we got to share it with our baby. When I was pregnant I wondered if he'd make his appearance before the holiday and he surely did. Donnie turned 1 month on Christmas Eve and I swear that month flew by so fast! Christmas was great for us this year we took Donnie over his Nana and Papa's house (my parents) for xmas dinner and to open presents. For someone who wasn't supposed to arrive until New Years Eve he made out really well with xmas gifts! Then Sunday was the hubs birthday. We kept it pretty simple and just ordered take out and chilled. It was really our first night by ourselves with just the baby so it was nice to bond with my husband taking care of our son. My hubs finally got to see the personality that I keep saying Donnie has, he was a hand full (but what new baby isn't?). It was nice when my husband said "I have so much respect for you and what you do" and he went on to say he doesn't know how a person could do this alone. It felt good for him to finally understand that taking care of a new baby isn't a easy task but I wouldn't have it any other way. I just wanted to pop in with a quick post! I hope your holiday was a great one! I leave you with a picture of Donnie in his Santa Suit that he wore on Christmas...it's it the cutest thing ever?

Weekend Fun!

Did you ladies have a great weekend? I sure did! I love Halloween for a few reasons: It's my father and nephew's birthday. I love seeing the little kids and doggies in costumes. Plus I love the candy, decorations, hunted houses etc! Some don't like to celebrate Halloween given it's beginnings but it think it's what you make of it, that's why it's one of my fav holidays!. Sorry I didn't do a Friday survey last week but I'll have on this week. Speaking of the week, boy is this one going to be a busy one! I've officially scheduled something EVERYDAY this week (not on purpose) but it just seemed like everything fell into place that way. I will try my best to make sure I get my posts in! I leave you with a picture of my nephew who turned 2 yesterday. He was a dragon!!!

Happy Memorial Day!

I hope everyone is enjoying the extended holiday weekend! I really didn't get anything wedding related done this weekend. Well on Saturday I did go to Old Navy (two different stores) for the $1 Flip Flop Sale, hoping to add them to my bridesmaid's gift totes but of course when I got to both stores they were SOLD OUT! I heard the line were ridiculously long (people where lining up at 8am that morning!) Oh well guess you can't always get a deal on everything! Other than that I spent the weekend with family and friends enjoying the weather and yummy food! Everyone during the holiday asked Mr Motown & I how the wedding planning was going, if we were nervous and of course when were we having kids lol! It was flattering answering everyone questions and it's great to know that everyone is looking forward to our Motown Marriage!

Since I'm still enjoying the holiday I'll leave you with some gorgeous pink/fuchsia inspirational pictures from some of my favorite blogs!
